Last night while watching tv I heard a gorgeous version of a song from the LOTR2 soundtrack .... It was a contempory opera thingy taken from the part where Arwen comes to Aragorn in the shape of a horse, after he falls, during the warg attack on the way to Helms Deep. If anyone has heard this, or knows of it, please let me know, because I've got to get it..cheers Alex..
The cd I have is The Lord of the Rings/The Return of the King. The music is composed, orchestrated and conducted by Howard Shore. Title songs are: 1) A Storm is Coming 2) Hope and Memory 3) Minas Tirith 4) The White Tree 5) The Steward of Gondor 6) Minas Morgul 7) The Ride of the Rohirrim 8) Twilight and Shadow 9) Cirith Ungol 10) Anduril 11) Shelob’s Lair 12) Ash and Smoke 13) The Fields of the Pelennor 14) Hope Fails 15) The Black Gate Opens 16) The End of all Things 17) The Return of the King 18) The Grey Havens and 19) into The West ………….…..don’t know that it is a particular opera adaptation…….. simply the soundtrack of the movie. If a song title appears to what you are asking I could be on the search of say any other re-makes as it were of that music title.……. Connie
The one Alex is after is from the Two Towers soundtrack. I know the bit in question, and it's a beautiful melody, but I haven't heard of the cover. Alex, does the TV channel have an on-line record at all? Even an e-mail for viewer questions? If you know what time it was on they could probably find out for you.
There is an address but it is only relevant to an online study on your favourite art....
I have no idea how to find this song apart from trawling thru the net..and I'm a bit miffed that someone has not only plagerised the Two Towers soundtrack but made a damn good job of it...
